Description:
Polyethylene (PE) is a thermoplastic resin made by polymerization of ethylene. As a very important raw material in the petrochemical industry, polyethylene is one of the five major synthetic resins. It is the variety with the largest production capacity and the largest import volume among my country's synthetic resins. It is mainly divided into three categories: linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
Usage:
1. Use in Packaging: Polyethylene is lightweight, moisture-proof, and easy to process. It is widely used in packaging and transportation of food, beverages, cosmetics, and medicines, such as plastic bags, bottles, cans, plastic wrap, and foam boxes.
2. Use in Construction: Polyethylene is a polymer material that is acid- and alkali-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and non-conductive. It can be used to make pipes, ropes, water tanks, flooring materials, insulation materials, and other building materials.
3. Use in Medicals: Polyethylene is inert and low-toxic, and can be used in biomedical materials such as medical syringes, blood bags, and catheters.
4. Use in Electronics: Polyethylene is an insulating material with high voltage resistance and high insulation resistance. It can be used to manufacture electronic components such as cables, optical fibers, insulation boards, and electrical housings.
Use in Other Fields: Polyethylene can also be used to make ropes, textiles, sports equipment, vehicle parts, etc., and has a very broad application prospect.
